Athabasca: Quarter 4 Aggregate Deliveries up 12.1 %

Edmonton, Alberta - February 22nd, 2011 - Athabasca Minerals Inc. (the "Corporation" or "Athabasca" - TSX Venture: ABM) is pleased to announce the aggregate sales number for the fourth quarter ending November 30th, 2010. These figures include both the Susan Lake and Poplar Creek Aggregate Operations.

The Corporation previously announced on March 18, 2010 a forecast demand for fiscal year 2010 of 6.5 million tonnes of aggregates. Forecast demand was surpassed, with fourth quarter aggregate volume posting a 12.1% increase from the previous year's comparable quarter. For the full fiscal year, the company recognized a 10.1% improvement in aggregate volume over the prior year.

Athabasca continues to be the leader in the delivery of aggregates to the oil sands industry in Northern Alberta, and is entering a growth period in its identification and development of additional aggregate projects near major infrastructure projects. These projects include significant oil sands operations. Upon commencement of operation and delivery of aggregates, the Company will disclose any contracts entered into.
